Christmas is fast approaching, December where the hell did you go ey? In fact, 2017 where the hell did you go? I for one feel as though I’ve blinked and 2017 has sprinted past me. I’ve seen a lot of blog posts on ‘my 2018 goals’ and ‘my 2017 yearly round up’. Although I love reading these posts I wanted to end my 2017 with something a little different. Today I’m going to share with you, my 2018 travel goals.
2017 TRAVEL HIGHLIGHTS
2017 for me, has been a crazy year. I’ve well and truly flung myself into the freelance world. Creating videos, writing sponsored content, producing new and exciting YouTube content and blog content. Although I have been working A LOT – I have managed to travel a little this year too. In July we travelled to Wales. Our first camping holiday together. I went with my boyfriend, brother and brothers girlfriend. It was SO much fun! The campsite was amazing. We stayed in Conwy. If you’re ever looking for a pretty campsite in beautiful surroundings I would recommend Conwy holiday park camp site.

In August I went to Berlin with my other half Liam. Liam surprised me a day before we went away. I loved experiencing Berlin but it was unfortunately cut short, by delayed flights, which meant we only really got a full day there. Berlin, I will 100% be back! Next up, a few weeks later we travelled to Cornwall with family. I stayed with my cousin for the most part. She lives in a pretty little village in South West Cornwall. For the latter part of the holiday we ventured out to campsite situated right next to Porthcurno. The camp site was absolutely UNREAL! Highly recommend it. Treen Farm Campsite is based right next to the beach – a short walk along the cliff side and the beach is absolutely stunning!

MY 2018 TRAVEL GOALS
BARCELONA
Me and the other half have already experienced a short lived trip to Barcelona back in 2015. We won a competition with (dare I say it) KFC back when we were meat eaters. Obviously we were EXTREMELY grateful. I mean, we never, ever win anything so to be sent on an all expenses paid trip to Barcelona was absolutely incredible! As we only spent a full day and night out there we didn’t really get to experience much of it. Next time I’d love to experience more of the arts and culture.
BALI
I know Bali is getting incredibly popular now but I still feel like Bali is on the cards for us. I love how beautiful the beaches look and how amazing the food places seem to be! I’ve heard it’s incredibly easy for vegans to eat out there too! This would 100% be our beach holiday if we get to do it. We haven’t been on a beach abroad since September 2016 when we visited Ibiza, but let me tell you – that was not one bit relaxing. Too much partying going on for a beach holiday lol! I’ve definitely been looking at bikini inspo already for 2018 and seen some lush ladies swimwear from Simply Beach. Is it just me who looks at bikinis before they’ve even booked a holiday!?
POLAND
I’ve always been drawn to visiting Poland. I really want to experience the history and culture Poland has to offer. Plus, my brothers girlfriend is Polish so I feel like she could show us a treat or two. I wouldn’t see visiting Poland as a holiday, more of an experience. I would definitely go and visit Auschwitz. I’ve heard it’s incredibly heartbreaking but I see it as something we 100% need to experience.

UK CAMPING
As with 2017 I’d love to go camping at least a couple of times next year too. I think the UK has so much to offer if the weather is playing ball. We have some beautiful coast lines and plenty of affordable campsites. I’ve never really thought about camping until this year but I’m so glad I’ve caught the camping bug. You can make a mini break so much more affordable by camping and if you grab a few of you the drive down can be cheap too!
So there we have it…my 2017 travel highlights and 2018 travel goals. The 2018 travel goals are pretty hefty I must say, but if you aren’t ambitious it won’t happen. So let’s fill 2018 with lots of great opportunities which can make the travelling happen!? What do you say?
