HOW I WHITEN MY TEETH AT HOME NATURALLY | VEGAN FRIENDLY
Over the years, i’ve used plenty of teeth whitening products. Some of which have caused me a lot of pain and not produced a great outcome. The last thing you want is self inflicted toothache – am I right? I love to keep my teeth looking white so I’m always on the lookout for new teeth whitening products, for this reason I thought I would share with you my most recent teeth whitening routine. As I’m now vegan all of these products I’m mentioning are cruelty free and vegan friendly. Ingredients in both products are vegan friendly and most importantly fluoride free.

When you meet someone, what’s the first thing you notice? The first thing I notice about someone I meet is usually their smile. Teeth are incredibly important when it comes to your smile, after all, you only get one adult set in life, so you have to make sure to look after them. I recently learnt that in high doses, fluoride can be incredibly toxic and potentially fatal if swallowed in high enough quantities. Although it is very unlikely that an adult would swallow large amounts of toothpaste – this is a real concern for parents. Since going vegan I’ve really become conscious about what I am consuming and using on my body – therefore fluoride free toothpaste seems like a winner to me. Today I’m going to chat to you about two products I’ve been using in my teeth whitening routine.

HOW I WHITEN MY TEETH AT HOME SAFELY AND NATURALLY
Firstly, I’m going to chat to you about Theodent which is a vegan friendly, fluoride free toothpaste. And if that isn’t intriguing enough, I actually discovered that this product contains a compound that occurs naturally in chocolate. Sweet discovery, ey? Theodent is manufactured in the United States in an FDA inspected and registered facility. Secondly, have you seen the packaging? I think I’d go as far as saying this is the cutest toothpaste packaging, I have ever seen. The copper gold trend has certainly not left us yet. The packaging looks very luxurious and high end. Who’d of thought I’d be describing a toothpaste in that way lol! The flavour is described as whitening crystal mint and my god is this toothpaste minty fresh. It honestly tastes like Wrigley’s spearmint sticks!

The second product I use is called ‘activated smile’ which is a charcoal based product, again this is vegan friendly and cruelty free. I added this product to my daily teeth cleaning routine. For best results I damp my toothbrush, dip my toothbrush into the charcoal product, dispense the theodent toothpaste onto my toothbrush and dab into the powder once again. I brush my teeth as normal, rinse thoroughly and repeat twice daily.
When I was younger I was much more open to using any old teeth whitening product on my teeth – even if it could potentially result in them being damaged long term. Now, I have a much more sensible mindset to what I am using on my teeth. I remember a few years ago using some teeth whitening strips and suffering with horrendous tooth ache as a result of using those strips. This is something which has now made me mindful about looking after my teeth and using natural products only.
