First off – welcome, welcome. I’m hoping you’re enjoying the more festive posts over on Imogen Rose and if you are i’d love to hear your thoughts below on one thing you like about my posts and one thing I may need to work on. Constructive criticism is very much welcome over here and I always love hearing your thoughts. Today I’m going to chat about an event I went to recently. The Joanie Christmas party, wait for it, was the most amazing event I’ve been to, so far, in my blogging journey. Those Joanie gals really do know how to throw a party, a festive one at that! So let’s chat about why it differed from other events I’ve been too…
Joanie clothing Christmas Party – THE VENUE
It was held at the beautiful Leaf on Portland Street in Manchester. I’ve not been to Leaf before and to be honest I didn’t even know it existed! But boy am I happy to have come across this venue! As you walk in there’s a bar in front of you. We headed in, soon to be told the party was downstairs in the basement. As we walked through some double doors downstairs we were greeted by the lovely Joanie gals who took our names and offered us posh prosseco (I say posh, because it had little pieces of fruit and petals in, how cute!)
After a little natter with the Joanie girls, me and Tasha from Love Laughter Fashion walked into the main event. As soon as I spotted the Christmas trees I knew I was on to a winner. I’ve never felt so festive this early on! Surrounded by fairy lights, Joanie branded Christmas crackers, beautiful clothes and wonderful company – I tried to get my bearings. THEN, I SPOTTED THE GINGERBREAD DECORATING…. Oh my days, this party just went from 0-100 real quick! I think I need to calm down as I’m typing this, I can feel myself getting excited about the little ginger sausage dogs. Yes, you heard that right – they had little gingerbread sausage dogs. How did they know that’s my favourite type of dog 😉 ? The lovely lady from Time for sweet pea set us up with some icing bags and gingerbread houses to get crackalackin’. Next to me was the lovely Nina from What Nina Spotted and then the beautiful Em from Terrible Tumbles and gorgeous Chyaz came to join. From familiar faces to new faces I was surrounded by inspirational women.

After I got totally carried away with gingerbread decorating I headed over to the beautiful clothing rails full of vintage inspired clothing. I have to say my favourite pieces of the night were the ‘dinosaur’ jumper and the ‘golden girl’ jumper. You could tell A LOT of thought went into this party – everything from the decor to the food was so pretty. Even the hummus (yay for vegan options) had pomegranates in – who knew pomegranate hummus could be so tasty? I met so many more wonderful ladies…. Laura from Smile at style literally is her blog name, a lovely, smiley and stylish bean! Alice from Twenty Something Life and Style , Jordan, Katy , that British Betty, girl goes to, Polka dot Pink, Katey Hayward phew, the list goes on! Everyone I came across was absolutely lovely. Everyone was dressed amazingly and it was just a bloody good night!
Towards the end of the night the beautiful Becky sang some classic vintage numbers which fitted in perfectly with the Joanie brand. Make sure you check out my latest vlog which should be up on Sunday to see what she sounded like!
Thanks so much Joanie for a bloody marvellous night, I really enjoyed myself! I came away from the event feeling very happy, which was totally fitting seeing as one of the items in our goodie bags was a happiness planner – how cute! We also received a beautiful spotty scarf, which I have to say I’m 100 % using as a head scarf, some beautiful anklet socks and some other voucher goodies from Flint & Flint, and the skin health spa. Let me know in the comments if Joanie is a brand you’ve come across and if so what are your favourite pieces from the Christmas Collection.
Thanks to the lovely goody bag items too!
