After a long week at work you can’t help but sink into your duvet like you’ve just landed on a bed of fluffy clouds can you? Sometimes, life takes it’s toll and you just need a break. Self-love and self-care is so important. What’s the use in working yourself to the ground if you can’t return the favour to your mind and body eh? So I’m going to spill the beans on how I destress…

Every couple of weeks I feel like I need to rejuvenate my body by running myself a bath (or if I’m extra lucky my other half may run it for me). I always find popping on some relaxing music help me become extra chilled out. There’s nothing better than slapping on a face mask being surrounded by candles and creating a tranquil atmosphere you can just be at one with yourself… ahhhhhh, hmmm, zen.
So, what are my five ways to destress using vegan friendly products?
1. Treat the skin – Face Mask.
I managed to find this cruelty free and vegan friendly Clarifying Face mask. Although it is essentially a face mask, specifically it’s designed for acne. I don’t suffer from acne so I can’t really judge it on that front, however I do know that once I take this mask off I feel like a new woman. My skin feels so supple once it’s off – worth it if you’re after a little treat! Please do let me know below if you’ve used this for acne and let me know if it worked for you! The lovely lot at Murad confirmed for me it’s vegan friendly and CF.

2. Don’t forget about the feet.
Flexitol foot foam and corn remover [*]
There’s nothing like relaxing after a nice hot bath than giving your feet some much needed care and attention. Who else is guilty of neglecting their feet? Because let me tell you sissy, I am the worst! When I saw that the foot foam was a fast acting, intensive treatment (with results shown after one day!) I thought it would be too good to be true. My feet don’t see moisturiser at the best of times so when I popped a pump of this little treasure on – you guessed it my feet sucked it right up! I’m not too keen on moisturising my feet right before bed due to the grease rubbing on to all of the sheets. But this foot foam was fast drying so it didn’t do too much damage. The morning after, my feet felt super supple and rehydrated ready to take on the day!
Here is a statement from Flexitol about their animal testing policy:

3. Get those ASMR tingles.
If it’s not music it’s ASMR. Everyone has to know what ASMR is, and if you don’t – do you live under a rock? ASMR is probably one of the only things out there that can put me into a deep sleep even when I’m not in the mood to sleep. Here are a few of my favourite ones:
4. Banish the lights.
As much as an instagrammable light oozes minimalistic vibes – get rid while having a bath. It’s all about lots of candles and no electric lights. Blue lights can cause lack of sleep so make sure you don’t use your phone just before bed!
5. Meditate.
I’ve preached about meditation plenty of times but genuinely I can’t express how good meditation is. Mentally and physically meditation can have some really positive effects on your soul. As cheesy as it sounds being at one with yourself doesn’t come round very often, so always try and give yourself some ‘you’ time.

I love this! I had no idea murad was vegan friendly and didn’t test on animals! I might now have to check them out! That moisturising Foot Foam looks amazing, i think i need it in my life now ahaha x
